What is territory? Whose is it? What does it consist of? Pink State wants to pose these questions and prompts a multitude of thoughts related to the concept of territory. They are questions that plumb right to the depths of our self understanding, our sense of identity and our need for companionship and belonging. Territory has played a role for as long as history has been recorded. Borders have been established and removed. Walls have been built and moats dug. And all the while territory has been the pretext for a myriad wars and boundary disputes. That is the reason why the place where we belong - our country, our town, our street - is such an important security factor in our lives. It is our dwelling place, our little slice of peace and love, our own Pink State. By inviting Pink State into the construed world of the arts, Evaristti reveals that territory is nothing more than a construction. Let´s make it a sustainable construction.

Once in a while Pink State materializes and by its peaceful existence recalls various humanistic values that we need to be reminded from time to time. Pink States have arisen such various places as in Dornbirn in Austria, on an ice berg in Greenland, on the summit of Mont Blanc. But most importantly Pink State is a state of mind that we can carry in our mind and heart. Many good wishes for peace have met resistance throughout history. This has not been any different for Pink State. But by good - evil shall be deterred. And next step for making Pink State official is an application to the UN. I believe we can do some good there.

As any other state, Pink State has its own passport and the state takes part of The Brotherhood Union. We invite every private person to send us an application for a Pink State citizenship. And we invite every nation to apply for a seat in the Brotherhood Union.
